Michael Grant is the co-creator and co-author of the Animorphs and the Everworld book series,[1] and also the creator and author of Gone and The Magnificent 12 series. As an adult, he became a writer in part because "it was one of the few jobs that wouldn't tie him down to a specific location."[2] According to the back flap of one of his books: "He lives in California with his wife, Katherine Applegate, and their two children, and far too many pets."[2] He currently lives in Irvine, California.[3]
In early 2009 Grant released the sequel to Gone called Hunger . The third novel for this series, Lies, was released in the United States in May 2010. There will be two more books after the fourth one, Plague, which was released on April 5, 2011. The fifth book, Fear, will be released on April 3, 2012, followed by Light, in 2013.
